There was also a lengthy newspaper article on William Henry Wood, circa 1900. It mainly outlined his career as a newspaper and tobacco dealer in Syracuse, but it also mentioned that he was born in Oswego County, near Fulton, and that he had married Miss "Augusta" Woolsey, daughter of Capt. E. L. Woolsey of Newburgh, NY.

Unfortunately, there appears to be no living descendants of this family today. However, it's interesting that William and Angela's only grandchild was William Herbert Wood, the genealogist who did so much research on the Woolseys and other families. From what I can tell, he never married. But how odd that, after collecting and preserving so much data over his lifetime, his own family bible wound up at a garage sale somewhere in Virginia! And now here it sits in the hands of another genealogy nut.

Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone who may be interested. And if you happen to know whether William Herbert Wood ever did have any children, I'd love to know!
