My name is Michael L. Hébert. My mother's maiden name was Woodruff and she is descended from the Virginia Woodruffs. I also have possible New York Woodruff ancestry on my father's side. Woodruff DNA Project

Project Details - There is a new DNA project dedicated to the Woodruff surname—including variations Woodroof, Woodroffe, Woodrove, Woodrough, Woodruffe, etc. The project uses the tools of the new field of genetic genealogy to investigate the various Woodruff lineages from the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and anywhere else in the world Woodruff families are found.
