Andrew Bruce, youngest son of John and Stuart Bruce, was born November 4, 1860, at Manchester, Iowa. At the age of fifeteen years he moved with his parents and three brothers to Odebolt, Iowa.
Margaret ( McQuistan ) Bruce was born June 9, 1865, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward McQuistan in Cmpbelltown, Scotland. She came to America with her parents in 1875, landing in Quebec and continuing to Rockford, Illinois, where the family lived for five years. In 1880 they moved to Odebolt, Iowa.
The couple were married March 26, 1885, at Odebolt, Iowa. They farmed here and later moved north to Moville Arlington township, which they homesteaded.
The couple had four children: Stuart, Lillian, Margarite and Edward.
Andrew and Margaret celebrated their sity-fourth wedding anniversary in 1949.
They are both buried in Arlington cemetery, Moville, Iowa.
