SETZER - SETSER - SESTER -- PAGE
Most descendents on this page are from Jacob Setzer (abt 1730 - 1766) and wife Mary Magdalene Bovy of North Carolina. I am now adding descendents of George Tobias Setzer (1732 - 1808) and wife, Elizabeth Berrier of Pennsylvania, and Michael Martin Setzer of Pennsylvania. Some websites list these 3 Setzer's as sons of Johann Adam Setzer who arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Patience" on 8/11/1750. As far as I know, there is no real knowledge or proof of this. I have now listed a generic Setzer in which I am placing the top of each Setzer tree under. This has been done so I have a common tie point for my database. As one can see from the below listing of Setzer's or close spelling, of those arriving in the new world about the same time, it is very hard to determine where we fit.
