The Crumpton's connected with David Lowry about 1802 in Greenville County SC with the marriage of Sarah Crumpton. David and Sarah migrated to TN, KY and OH before finally settling in Shelby County Alabama about 1818. This started a long line of Lowery's that spread out all over the nation. Five of Sarah's brothers and one of her sisters followed at later dates and settled in Shelby, Bibbs, and other nearby counties.
