GK-13. Dennis Snodgrass <Charlou's Note: The only time I have ever found a
record of a Dennis Snodgrass, is 7 May 1862 in Marion Co., WV: Ann Jane
Snodgrass, wife of Dennis Snodgrass, d. 7 May 1862, age 38y 11m 13d; bur.
Knight Cem. Apparently "Dennis" was a middle name, and not frequently used.
It appears from census records, that Ann Jane Snodgrass was Ann Jane Knight,
wife of Eugenius Snodgrass. The big question is whether or not the tombstone
was read properly. It is also important, however, to keep in mind that Marion
Co. was made out of Monongalia Co., so a connection here is not unreasonable
Checking on Eugenius's father, our records have him as Elisha Snodgrass
(wife Eleanor Batton). He has 7 identified children, but census records
indicate that he also may had three additional children, including an
unidentified son b. 1810-1820, and an unidentified dau. b. 1825-1830, so Henry
& Margaret would certainly fit into this family. More research obviously
needs to be done.>
