Henry Delano Fitch married Maria Antonia Natalia Elijia Carrillo on 3 Jul 1829 at Valparaiso, Chile. He died 13 Jan 1849 in San Diego and is buried there at the Presidio Chapel.

Maria was born as Josefa Carillo 27 Nov 1810 in San Diego and baptised at the Presidio there. She was the daughter of Maria (Lopez) Carillo and therefore sister-in-law to Mariano Vallejo.
