Could add Naturalist Activity Badge requirements: #6 Learn about bird flyways closest to your home. Find out which birds use these flyways. Bird Watching: p 331 #9 Give examples of: -A producer, a consumer and a decomposer in the food chain of an ecosystem. Ecosystems page 338 -One way humans have changed the balance of nature. Balance of nature page 340 -How you can help protect the balance of nature. Your local environment page 341 #10 Identify a plant, bird or wild animal that is found only in your area of the country. Tell why it survives only in your area.
Could add Forrester Activity Badge requirements: #2 Draw & label a picture of plant & tree layers in a forest in your area. #3 Six trees common to your area: how do animals & people use them?
Zoo Day Handout Leader’s Note: The activities or questions for the Cub Scout and WEBELOS Scout rank advancement requirements will be contained around the Zoo at designated Zoo Day Billboard locations on your special Zoo Day Safari Map. There are six (6) Zoo Day Billboard locations. It is best for the parent or Scout Leader to BE PREPARED with the answers to the requirements to ensure that the parent or Scout Leader is using this event as an educational forum to properly fulfill Scout Requirements. In addition, it may be possible for Scout Leaders to find other requirements in the Cub Scout and WEBELOS Handbooks to accomplish at Zoo Day. Use the time and opportunities with your Scouts at Zoo Day to the greatest extent possible. Be creative, have fun and enjoy the event. |
