[S375] Denise Mortorff, Ellen Kelley and Elma Richardson Scott, The Kendall Family History, (Privately Published, 1989), in the custody of the LDS Family History Center, Los Angeles, CA. The compilers appear to have done a thorough search on the Kendall family with quality documentation. The Gilmore ancestry of David is a repeat of Walter Beanblossom's book and makes no attempt to prove or disprove Mr. Beanblossom's theories. These three compilers were unaware that David Gilmore's older brothers were born in Pennsylvania and that their father James apparently did not arrive in Augusta (later Rockingham County) Virginia until about 1774 and therefore was probably not a descendant of John and Agnes of Augusta County. Denise Mortorff. <e-mail address>
