He was stricken with paralysis on the morning of the 24th of August and remained unconscious until he passed from this life eleven days after. Thomas Jefferson Gilmore was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, April 17, 1844. In 1868 he was married at Olin, Iowa, to Mary Malinda Kaufman who's death fourteen years ago saddened his home. He leaves five children to mourn his loss, all of whom were present at his bedside J. L. Gilmore, W. E. Gilmore, Azelia Gilmore, Mrs. Charles Easton of Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. S. D. Blessing of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Also six brothers and three sisters. Three of his brothers, D. W. Gilmore, F. M. Gilmore of Olin, Iowa, J. P. Gilmore of Harlan, Iowa, were with him during his last hours. The funeral service was held at Fairview church Saturday September 5".

Sims born 2 May 1862 died 23 Nov 1911 died 4 June 1944; Alva Ora born 16 April 1872 married Bertha Sanders; Nancy Elizabeth born 10 Aug 1876 married Henry Millard Abram died 15 June 1954; Mary I. married Charles Hendricks; Jacob Berry born 7 May 1857 married Mary Eunice Rice died 7 June 1938; Pressie (nickname) died young. This is all I have on JW Hendricks & SM Raper Hendricks. William B. Hendricks is my maternal great grandfather".
[S2088] There is no date of death on David's tombstone. Possibly he is buried elsewhere.
[S2111] Don Thomson, William Knight and His Descendants (1995), Exerpt supplied by Don Thomson, "Franklin Ellwood Knight was born in Sep 1872 in Jones Co., Ia., the son of William Lewis Knight and Caroline Blayney who were married in Jones Co. in 1871. Frank married Linnie Belle Gilmore 14 Feb 1895. He died 4 Dec 1963 and is buried in Wilcox Cemetery on the Jones-Linn Co. line. Their children were Frances, Harold Earl, Ward Lewis, Victor M., and Genevieve."

Tuesday afternoon, March 2, for H.D. Gilmore, who died at his home in Des Moines, Feb 19. Burial was at Greene Cemetery. ...son of George and Arminta Gilmore, was born at Olin, Ia. May 22, 1884... He was married to Grace Blaney, August 1904..." ...one sister Mrs. Frank Knight of Viola and two brothers Stace Gilmore of Cedar Rapids and Forest Gilmore of Olin." Another obit copy in possession of Win Wood may have been from a Des Moines paper. It states that he was married 25 Aug 1904 at Galena, IL.
