Daniel Dalton - Good Citizen Gone- Uncle Daniel Dalton, one of the best known and most highly appreciated citizens of Allen county, died at his old home place Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. He had been feeling well all day and had made several trips to the garden where Mr. D.B. Dalton was at work. But about an hour before his death he told the family that he felt queer and that he believed he was dying. He passed away with seemingly little suffering. Uncle Daniel, as he was known to all, was a local minister in the M.E. Church and had been a member of the church for fifty-eight years. He was a model and exemplary life. Had he lived until the 27th of July he would have been 88 yrs. Old. His good wife died about 19 years ago. He leaves five children. They are; W.F. Dalton, J.E. Dalton, D.B. Dalton, Mrs. M.E. Holland and
Mrs. M.E. Wilson. The remains were taken to Union Chapel burying ground Thursday afternoon burial by undertakers Garrison & Pearson. A large crowd of people assembled there to witness the putting away of a man they had always admired and loved. Through his death Allen county has lost one of their leading and best citizens. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved relatives and friends."
