Peacefully at McMaster Hospital [Hamilton
Ontario] on Tuesday Dec 23, 1997 of Dundas in his 81st
year. He is the husband of Marjorie (nee Robinson) and father of Allan Wingrove and his wife Milene of Toronto and Douglas Wingrove of Guelph. He will be sadly missed by 8
grandchildren , 9 great grand children, and his sister Evelyn
Wingrove Page of Mountsberg. He retired from Wentworth Lodge in 1982
after 21 years as Administrator. Mr. Wingrove was the Warden of Wentworth
County in 1960; a lifetime member of Mountsberg Baptist Church; a member and past-master
of Campbell Lodge #603; past District Grand Master [ 1978-79] of Hamilton Masonic
District A. and past President of the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services
for Seniors; the Dundas Lawn Bowling Club; the Dundas Rotary Club; and the Dundas Curling
Club. He is resting at the Cattel Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main St,
Dundas from Sat 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service is Sunday at Mountsberg
Baptist Church at 3:00 with the interment at Mountsberg Church Cemetery.

Mr Wingrove who operates a farm near Campbellville first appeared in council in 1955 as
deputy-reeve of East Flamboro Township. He was elected reeve in 1958 Last year he was
chairman of the roads committee and served also on the civil defense and joint Court House
Committee. He was also a member of the Wentworth County Health Unit.

her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late William. Dear mother of
Allan and Milene of
Toronto and Douglas and Frances Dittenhoffer of Cambridge. Sadly missed by her eight
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Dear sister of Ruby George and
Winnifred Hannah, both of Dundas. Friends will be received at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers
Funeral Home, 53 Main Street Dundas
Private interment to follow. Expressions of sympathy to the Mountsberg Baptist Church RR
