2012 October 2012 from Martin email "One more Wingrove' born in Goteborg Sweden. Ismay Alice Blanche born 29th Nov 1883 daughter of Arthur Clement Wingrove and his wife Blanche Elizabeth May his wife baptized by me (August 14, 1884) at No 26 Clifton Sanders Maida Vale London. ![]() Related Child of Arthur & Elizabeth Wingrove Arthur Cecil Harry Sharpe Wingrove of 11 Avenue Road, Kingston Christening 11 Aug 1881 Jubbulpore, Madhya Pradesh, India Killed in Boer War 5th Battalion Imperial Yeomanary August 2012 from Jesse Wingrove, grandson Castle Wingrove, USA I really appreciate the incredible database that you have built and hope that you don't get annoying requests like this multiple times each week! I am having a tough time figuring out all the John W. Wingroves! It seems like there was a John W. that came to Canada and a John W. that fought in the Revolutionary War to whom I am not directly related. However, I do know that I am directly related to the John W who fought in the Civil War and was born in Lewis County, WV. Since it seems that the Revolutionary War John W. also lived in Lewis county, it would seem like he and Civil War John W. must be related...one would think father and son. But from the existing database it seems like those two John W. Wingroves who both lived in Lewis County at the same time were in fact, not related. So I know that my father's father was Castle, who was the son of this Rev, John W. Wingrove ( http://freepages.genealogy. ) who was the son of this John W. Wingrove ( http://freepages.genealogy. ) that fought in the Civil War. If you have any insight into the John W's I would greatly appreciate it. Then I will try to figure out the connection with the John Wingrove who was murdered in the early 1900's. Note to all Wingroves...stop naming your sons John. It is way too confusing! Jesse (not John) Wingrove July 2012
My name is Atherton Drenth and I am the daughter of
Edward Goodwyn Conn, a Dr. Barnardo orphan who was
boarded out to the Whitfield Wingrove family in
Walsingham Centre Ontario from 1912 to about 1915-1916.
Would you happen to have any information about the
above?
I have attached a picture taken of my father at that
farm in 1912.

If you have more details on her father or his family WebMaster's Note: Whitfield Wingrove was my great grandfather on my dad's side. In fact my father, Milton Ross Wingrove is likely the baby on the wagon. I recall seeing a similar photo with my uncle Clifford pulling the same wagon of his little 'Ross-ie'. Sadly I had no details to pass on to Atherton, on the family farm. June 2012 From Christ Wall (Privatized)

Courtest Walt MaybemFebruary 2009 Sorting out the Wingrove, Wingrave or Thurgood Families in Australia A submission from Judy Thurgood Nov 2008 Just for accuracy on your family history website there is
no Susanna Baker. Jonathan Grim was only married to one
woman and that is Susanna Wilt. I have proof that her name
is WILT. I am still conducting research on the Wilt family. Susanna Wilt appears to be the daughter of George Wilt. He was born about 1775 and is seen in the 1820 Census in Berlin, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He is later seen in the 1830 Census in Salt Lick Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Susanna Wilt married Jonathan Grim about 1825. George Wilt is seen in the 1840 and 1850 Census in Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio. I have seen unsourced material on RootsWeb and possibly ancestry.com that George Wilt died in 1864 in Falls Township, Hocking County, Ohio. However, there is a man with the name George C. Wilt seen in the 1860 Census in Bullskin Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania that was born about 1775. He apparently moved back to Fayette County, Pennsylvania. George Wilt is the son of Samuel Wilt. He was born supposedly on March 25, 1750. He died on September 17, 1830 and is alledgedly buried at Lambertsville Cemetery, Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He is not listed in the transcript for that cemetry. _________ Early Somerset County Estate Records No. 19 of 1830 Samuel Wilt. Will handwritten in German. Filed Sept. 17, 1830. Widow, Margarett. Ch.
