Hi, my name is Angie Wingrove Rumer.
I am trying to do some research on my dad. His name was Russell
Wingrove and he passed away when I was six. I don't know a lot
about him or his family, however, I do know he lived in both Parkersburg, WV
and in Marietta, Ohio. I also know of two brothers by the names of Robert
and Ross Wingrove. My father was born
about 1909 and died in 1979. He was buried in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery
in Lubeck, WV beside a woman named Agnes who died in 1969. He also was married
to a woman named Sylvia and that she resided in Waverly, WV. He also
married my mother Evelyn. I have a brother Brian and a sister Kathy
Any leads greatly appreciated.

I just received the marriage cert.#26028 for
Elizabeth Wingrove, born-1845 and
married March 22,1868. Father's name Thomas D.
Wingrove and Mother's Elizabeth Irene Roberts Wingrove.
Groom's name: Alexander Shyrma. They were married at St. Mary's Church
in Manhattan, NY.
I am still trying to find out when the family came to the U.S., if anyone has
any info. It should be sometime between 1845-1853. The census records are not
consistent.

Charles Wingrove's
widow's application for Civil War widow's pension (Union). HC and his wife,
formerly Anna M Carroll, lived in Denison ,TX after the war until he
died on 7-Sept-1883.
She lived there until her death in 1929, is buried in Fairview Cemetery in
Denison TX.
I have not been able to find where he was buried.
They had 3 children,

Wingrove. I have no information as to where John was born or
where he came from. He just seemed to show up in WV in 1866.
