Social Security Death Index
WINGROVE Entries
*
The SSDI does
not include the names of everyone, even if they had a Social Security number.
If relatives or the funeral home did not report the death to the Social Security
Administration, or if the individual died before 1962 (when the records were
computerized) then they will not appear in this database. The omission of
an individual in this index does not indicate the person is still living.
It simply means that there was no report of the person's death to Social
Security Administration.
* Persons in the SSDI are listed by their legal name
at time of death thus many married women are not listed by their maiden name
unless they have retained that name or reverted to it after divorce
or their husband's death
*
These pages
are sorted by the State of Issue. The last residence or last benefit is not
an accurate indication of place of death or place of burial
*
Visitors
are encouraged to provide additional details
on any individuals listed
in the Index
