"Grandfather Wingrove was an Englishman. My grandmother Wingrove came from Bunde, Westphalia, Germany. She came over to
visit her brother who was a druggist in New York City, and was so seasick she never returned. At a wedding met grandfather, and
they both were homesick. She didn't speak English, so he learned German and went to Germany to visit her people. He was a
wonderful guy. I never knew this grandmother--she died in 1900."
