Thurs. Aug. 5, 1915 pg. 2 Charles Richter well known citizen of Merritton passed away on Wednesday evening after a lengthy illness of 13 months.  The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at two O'clock.

     The funeral of the late Charles Richter took place on Friday afternoon from the family residence, Walnut street, Merritton to Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  Rev. Wray Smith conducted the service at the house and graveside.  The pall bearers were Albert Stewart, Thos. Hopkins, Jas. Daly, John Augerman, Samuel Piper.  Beautiful floral tokens bore silent testimony to the sympathy of many friends.

Later years it was reported he sold Picture Frames.  His first child was born in Peterborough.  A daughter named Myrtle. Thomas was a twin himself, brother named Robert W. who died at the age of 4 yrs. 1869. Thomas comes from a family of stone masons originating from England.      Going thru diaries of Roy Willoughby my first cousin son of John (Edgar) Willoughby and Myrtle (Gunstone) Willoughby, sister of Thomas Webster Gunstone, the Gunstone's were living at one time on 97 Dixon Ave Toronto a few homes away from Willoughby's. Thomas Webster Gunstone, Elaine (Gunstone's) Ashton's father died August 30th 1935 living at 73A Dixon Ave in his 70th year. Roy Willoughby and family were living at 97 Dixon Ave same time.
