Susannah Erwin/Irwin was born Feb.9,1833. She was the daughter of
Presley and Susannah Oiler Irwin of Franklin Twp. in
Armstrong Co. PA. On Aug.5th 1851 or 1852 she married George W.
Rimel. They were married by A. C. Ehrenfeld who was the preacher of the Lutheran church in Worthington at that time.
George Rimel was born Jan.15,1829. On April 1,1887 he was struck
and killed by a train while he was walking on the B&O Railroad tracks along the Youghiogheny River in Fayette County between
Dawson and Connellsville.

Born abt.1855
His wife was Mariah Lyons who was about a decade
older than Gilbert.
They lived near the village of Layton in Perry Twp. in Fayette Co.
PA
They had several children including a daughter
named Charlotte
(this is my
ggrandmother) Gilbert died April 17,1895.
The 1910 census shows
Mariah Rimel living in Perry Twp.
as a widow who had ten children, eight of which were still living at that time.

John Rimel was married twice.
His first wife was Katie Howard (d.1911 or 1912).
They had two children. Joseph and Florence.

and they had six children:

Cora.

Florence Rimel married John Stonebraker.
They had a son named Cleavy.
John Rimel and a widow named Gertie Mossberg
applied
for a marriage License in 1913.
Another source says his second wife was a woman named
Jenny.
John outlived both his wives and died near Terra Alta West
Virginia around 1941.
His descendants live in the southern part of Fayette Co. in
PA.
Greene Co. in PA and
the Northern Part of Virginia.

His wife Charlotte Hollis
They had no children .
They lived near Dawson in Fayette
Co. PA.
Joseph was shot to death on Dec.28,1894.
His wife was the only one around at the
time of the shooting.
She may have shot him because of his
unfaithfulness

Frank was mentally retarded.
7. Herbert-
1872-1892
He was known as Bert.
He drowned in the Youghiogheny River near Dawson on Jan 15,1892
while trying to cross it on a skiff on his way to work.
Bert was a good swimmer.
