Nelson W Wingrove Jr was born on September 17, 1908 on the family farm near Buck Grove IOWA. He was the son of Nelson W WINGROVE and Dora Thomsen

Nelson married August 31 1932 at the Methodist parsonage, Inez Sophie Malone. Inez was born on October 24, 1912 at Kenwood IOWA to Reuben David Malone and Amelia Catherine Renz. Rueben was born on April 18 1868 in Cleveland Ohio and Amelia Renz was born April 30, 1875 at Iowa City Iowa. Inez is one of thirteen children in the family that consisted of Doly, Agnes, Lfie, Reuben, Harry Sidney, Lolan, Tom. Lewis, Evelyn, Inez, Marion and Merle.
