1. MARGARET  WINGROVE (WILLIAM, JAMES, JOHN W)  
     was born 1895 in Mountsberg Ontario, and 
    died 1971, burial  in Carlisle United Church Cemetery, Carlisle ON. 

    She married ASAHEL BATES, 1891 - 1981
          son of WALTER BATES and CATHERINE GRIFFIN.

Notes for ASAHEL BATES: Very active in Carlisle Ontario. He served on the township council in the 1940's and 50's as councilor, deputy reeve and reeve. He became warden of Wentworth County in 1954. He was also one of the original members of the Twelve Mile Creek Conservation Authority formed in 1958. Lived on the Family farm at Concession 10, near Townline Road Carlisle
