Jannet McLeod (McCloud) MacIntyre

Jannet McCloud was born on the Isle of Islay, Argyleshire Scotland
She married in Scotland Mr. McEwen and had 3 children who arrived in Dundas Ontario in the 1830's
Mr. McEwen travelled to Canada with two brothers and their wives and families. The three McEwen brothers died of cholera.
Jannet then married Alexander MacIntyre and lived in Campbellville Ontario
The children of the first marriage accompanied them although the eldest McEwen son was to disappear after working on the Great Lakes. John McEwen (1827-1896) & Catherine McEwen ( 1832- 1890) lived on the family farm until their deaths. They were buried in the Old Campbellville Cemetery. Alexand and Jannet had four children of their own: Mary , Donald 'Dan' , Janet 'Jessie' and Margaret.
