Death record lists his father William Mike.
His mother was Ethel Mae Mike/Myke
b. March 1, 1885 in Hagersville ON
d. October 20, 1954; burial in
Aylmer Cemetery, Aylmer, ON
Ethel was married twice.
Harmon's family for as far back as I have at this time
(the late 1700's) were found to be Mohawk Indian
and originated from the Port Credit reserve.

Phoebe and Charles were married

Harmon and Hazel had four children.
Since their children were quite young when
Hazel and Harmon
died, they were raised by other families in the
area; as noted
Rose and Ruth are sisters of Hazel

at home in SW Walsingham Township
d. November 9, 1970
in his 38th year.
Raised by the Beamer family of Port Rowan.
(they apparently use to own the bakery at one time)
Roy (as he was known) died in Simcoe
ON
burial in Mt Pleasant

b. June 20, 1933
at home in SW Walsingham Township
d. April 21, 1992
in her 61st year
Died in London Ontario,
burial in Gysboro Cemetery
in Straffordville

iii. Harvey Eugene Myke (My husbands Father)
b. June 16, 1936
at home in SW Walsingham Township
d. December 5, 1980
in his 44th year
Harvey died in Tillsonburg Ontario
burial in Mt Pleasant
Cemetery, Walsingham.
Raised by Chancey Moore and his wife
Ruth Wingrove
iv. Charles Walter Myke
b. May 5, 1937
at home in SW Walsingham Township
d. May 5, 1937 at home.
He is
buried at the foot of one of his parents
in Mt
Pleasant cemetery.
As for Harmon's surname, my husband said his
grandfather couldn't spell and since he couldn't the
government spelt the last name for him. Both Harmon's
birth and death records spell his surname as Mike.
Hazel's will however shows that she spelt it
Myke.
Roy spelled his Mike and Mildred and Harvey spelt it Myke.
On Harvey's birth record Mike is in brackets.
