LUEDERS— R. W. “Bob”
Wingrove, 72, died Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at a local hospital.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church in Stamford with Rev.
Robert Wingrove, Jr. officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Funston, directed by Tankersly Funeral Home.
Mr. Wingrove was born in Olney and he married Lela Marie Mefford in 1946 in Gladewater. He owned and operated
Wingrove Well Services until his retirement and had lived in Lueders for the past 24 years. He
was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Stamford and a past member of I.O.O.F. in Levelland.
Survivors include his wife, of Lueders; three sons, Robert Wingrove, Jr. of Stamford,
Wayne Wingrove of Sundown, Lloyd Wingrove of Lueders; two daughters,
Nell Ann Warren and Betty Herod, both of Stephenville; two brothers,
Arthur Wingrove of Betty, Denzil Wingrove of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister,
Virginia Wingrove of Betty; 15 grandchildren; 5 great
grandchildren.

LUEDERS -- Lela Marie Wingrove, 73, of Stephenville and formerly of Lueders, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Stamford with Rev.
Robert Wingrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery at Funston under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford, Texas.
Mrs. Wingrove was born August 19, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to William and Velma Mefford. She married
Robert Wingrove Sr. on August 3, 1946 in Gladewater, Texas. She was a homemaker, a bookkeeper and a partner of Wingrove Well Service of Lueders. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist in Stamford and had been a resident of Lueders since 1976, moving there from Brownwood, Texas.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and
Barbara Wingrove of Stamford, Wayne and
Kathie Wingrove of Decatur and formerly of Sundown, TX. and
Lloyd and Jackie Wingrove of Avoca, TX; two daughters and one son-in-law,
Nell Ann and Audrey Warren and Betty Herod all of Stephenville; one brother,
W.T. Mefford of Eddy, TX; two sisters, Alyene Murr of Menard and
Lorene Johnson of Kilgore; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, and one sister,
Tina Willmon, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Collins, David Locke, Jimmy Warren, Brandon Wingrove, Rick
Stewart, and John Michael Davidson.
The family requests that all memorials be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605.
