Miller, Phyllis J.
Age 77, of Menasha, died Monday, August
11, 2003 after a short illness. She was born Phyllis
June Wingrove on July 7, 1926 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the
daughter of the late Theresa Tracy Wingrove and George
Wingrove Sr. She attended Neenah schools and was employed at
Kimberly Clark, Lakeview Mill prior to marriage. On March 4, 1950 she
married Robert Miller in Oshkosh and they enjoyed over 53 years
together. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great
grandmother. She lived life to its fullest and enjoyed singing, dancing,
gardening, music of all kinds, Friday night fish fries (if the coleslaw is
good), Saturday night steak dinners, shopping with Christi and
spending time with friends and family. Our “silly Phylly” will be
sadly missed. She was truly one-of-a-kind. She is survived by her three
sons, Ronald (Ida Ann) Miller, Wisconsin Rapids; Jeffrey (Terri)
Miller, Appleton; Gregory (Debra) Miller, Menasha; one
daughter, Christi (Thomas) Northam, Menasha; nine grandchildren, Annalee
(Shanon) Schneider, Joel Miller, Jennifer (John) Thurlow, Chad and Katie
Miller, Amiee and Nick Miller, Charles and Neal Northam,
a great-grandson, Michael Schneider. She is also survived by two
sisters, Mary (Jerome) Sigl and Dorothy LaRue; a
sister-in-law, Sandra Miller, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clayton
and Helen Miller, a very special friend, Geneva Stoehr and
also many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by three
brothers: Melvin, George Jr., and John;
two sisters, Florence Getschow and Rose
Parker; a brother-in-law, Roger Miller. Funeral services
will be held Friday, August 15, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Menasha’s Westgor
Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Westgor Funeral Home on Thursday,
August 14th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. on Friday until
the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
