great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, decorating her home, going
out to eat, playing cards and dice, watching Oprah Winfrey and the Green
Bay Packers. Mary loved babies and she was so pleased to have had the
opportunity to hold seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mary lived in Appleton the majority of her life and had only recently
moved to St. Paul Manor where the Sisters of the Franciscan Order of
Charity took great care of her. Her family thanks God and the Sisters
for their loving care.

Mom, we want to thank you for being
such a wonderful mother. We always found comfort in talking and sharing
our thoughts with you. We miss you and always will — you will be
forever in our hearts. Thank you for teaching us how to love and pray
and laugh and dance. As daddy always said, “You are the greatest!”
A memorial mass will be held at 6 p.m.
on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 E.
Lourdes Dr., with Father Harold L. Berryman officiating. Visitation will
be from 4 p.m. until the time of mass at the church. Burial will be in Highland
Memorial Park. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial
fund is being established.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am
the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn’s rain. when
you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet
birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not
stand at my grave and weep. I am not there; I did not die.
