David T. Wingrove, 65, Allouez, passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2002 at a local hospital after an 8 year battle with kidney disease. David was born on January 25, 1937 in Oshkosh the son of the late
Albert and Ethel (Kitz) Wingrove. On December 27, 1958 he married the former
(Madonna) Donna Spreutels at Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on October 15, 1988. He later married
Carol Bruneaux on March 31, 1990 at Resurrection Catholic Church. David had a distinguished 34-year career with H.C. Prange CO. and Prange Way Inc. until his retirement in 1994. He was very fond and proud of his collection of wooden ships. David loved to travel abroad, be it a business trip to the orient or a pleasure trip to Europe with his son Scott; he always made the most of it. He enjoyed watching sports whether it was football and the Packers were playing, or basketball and baseball games. David loved his family and cherished the many special times together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and a dear friend to many and will be greatly and forever missed.
David is survived by his wife Carol, two daughters and sons-in-law
Tammy and Steve Liebergen, Suamico; Wendy and John
Lenss, St. Louis Park, MN; two sons and daughters-in-law Todd and
Ann Wingrove, Grand Rapids, MI; Scott and
Lynda Wingrove, Minneapolis, MN; two stepdaughters and one step
son-in-law Debra Bruneaux, Lori and Peter Nielsen, one stepson
and step daughter-in-law James and Laurie Bruneaux, 12 grandchildren
Ashley Liebergen, Jake, Samantha and Beatrice Lenss, Zachary and
Blake Wingrove, Michael and Jon
DeArmond, Kacie and Robyn Nielsen, Keith and Gena
Dietz, he is further survived by his only cousin Mary Ann and
Robert Polk and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Father-in-law and mother-in-law
Ben and Marie Spreutels.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday July 27, 2002
at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez. Mass of Christian Burial noon at the church with the Rev.
Paul Demuth officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Kidney Foundation, MS Society and Cancer Research.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nursing
staff at Saint Vincent Hospital Dialysis Center with special gratitude to Dr. Neu and
Dr. Mc Govern. Also a note of appreciation to the 9th floor nursing staff at Saint Vincent
Hospital and a special thank you to Rev. Paul Demuth from Resurrection Catholic Church for his continued friendship and
support.
