Arthur E. "Art" Wingrove, 66, of 840 ½ Florence St., died Tuesday  morning, July 10,1990 in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, after a short  illness.

He was born February 12, 1924, in Waverly to Charles E. and Margaret Moore Wingrove. He was a World War II veteran with service in the European Theatre. He retired from the Hope Natural Gas Co. after 38  years of service. He was a member of the Williamstown Masonic Lodge 129 AF&AM; a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason; a member of the Nemesis Temple, Belpre Shrine Club; the BPOE Elks 198; and the Veterans of  Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Cunningham Wingrove; one  brother, Charles E. Wingrove Jr. of Piedmont; one sister, Helen Medcalf  of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Services were held Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with the Rev. A. K. Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery at Williamstown with Masonic graveside services.
