Alfred A Andy Wingrove

Alfred A. "Andy" WINGROVE, 83, a longtime resident of Point Marion R.D., Pa., died on Friday, February 27, 2004, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. 

Born June 12, 1920, at Tower Hill, Pa., he was a son of the late Alfred A. and Edna WHITE WINGROVE. 

Andy had worked in area coal mines, and was also a janitor at the former Albert Gallatin High School at New Geneva. 

Survivors include his daughter, Debra Wingrove of Morgantown, with whom he had resided for the past two years; two sons, Alfred A. Wingrove Jr. of New Orleans, La., and William Eugene Wingrove and his wife, Pam, of Point Marion; three grandchildren, Twila Wingrove of Lincoln, Neb., and Brittany and Robert Aldrich, both of Point Marion; nephew Ronald Wingrove of Uniontown; two nieces, Carol Wingrove of Uniontown and Joy Costella of Chalk Hill, PA.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Duckworth of Baltimore, Md. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Lula "Lou" Wingrove, on Oct. 24, 2002, and by a brother, Warden Wingrove. 

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. R. Scott Teets officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.
