James Edward Wingrove. August 15, 1928 - December 27, 2005. Mr. James E. Wingrove, age 77, loving husband, father, and grandfather, and long time resident of Marina, CA, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. James was born August 15, 1928 in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania to John and Josephine Wingrove. He served in the United States Army for twenty years. James retired from the Army after serving his country bravely in two wars and settled his family in Marina in 1971. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Hideko, two sons, Lee and Thomas, daughter, Sandra, grandchildren, Matthew, Autumn, Michael, and Christopher, and sisters, Norma, Eileen, and Bonnie. James will be remembered for his faith in God, love of family, and patriotic duty to his country. He was a member of the American Legion Monterey Cypress Post 694 in Marina, CA. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marina 1st Assembly of God on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Dispensation of his remains will be carried out according to his wishes.
