John Hiram Rolston, 85, of Toronto, Ohio, died Thursday at 
Merritt Rest Home in Toronto, May 12.

He was born at Willow Island WV, a son of the late James and 
Mary Belle Dunn Rolston. He was a retired barber from Fort 
Steuben Hotel, Steubenville, Ohio. He was a member of Willow 
Island Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Cherry Rolston; a daughter, 
Eilene Cusick of Toronto; seven grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; a brother, Rufus Rolston of Willow Island; a 
sister, Eleanor Wingrove of Belpre.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Kundel; an 
infant daughter; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral will be 10am Monday at Turel Funeral Home, Toronto 
with Rev. Robert Hanze officiating. The body will be taken 
to Willow Island Baptist church for prayer service and burial 
will follow in the church cemetery.
