Ida Marie Roberts, 98 of Pomeroy, died Jan. 6 at Marietta Convalescent Center.

She was born in Pleasants County to the late P.C. "Casper" and Ida May Wingrove Treadway. She was a member of St. Mark's  United Methodist Church of Belpre, where she was active in the Martha Circle. She was a 54 year member of Miriam Rebekah Lodge 1 and served on the degree staff and as Past Noble Grand for 20 years. She was also a member and past counselor of the Daughters of Veterans, a member of Chapter 541 of the Eastern Star, Bethany Chapter 4, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Royal Court 5, Order of Amaranth, Hathor Court of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, the Degree of Honor and LAPNAuxiliary lodge 6.

Surviving are two daughters, Vida Melocik and Marjorie Hefner, both of Belpre; seven grandchildren including Margie Guthrie of Guysville, Ohio; and Cecilia Block and Alan Monroe of Belpre; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Roberts Sr., two sons, Fred Roberts Jr. and George Roberts; two grandchildren, Fred Roberts II and Nancy Monroe and one great-grandson, Lowell Guthrie.

Services were Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg 
with Rev. Richard Royalty officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
