Menasha, WI, passed away suddenly June 22, 2004 at
Manor Care in Appleton. She was born in Menasha on
March 23, 1910, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes
(Starzenska) Pawlowski. She married George Wingrove on
December 4, 1931 at St. John The Baptist Catholic
Church in Menasha.
She was a member of St. John’s all of her life where

kind and gentle woman who loved her home and family,
most of all her grandchildren. She loved the Virgin
Mary and prayed the rosary every day of her adult life
until alzheimer’s robbed her of her memory. She taught
her children how to pray and to love God and we thank
her for that and the love she gave to us.
She is survived by her four children: Jan (William)
Mayer, Menasha; Jeri Schwenke, Big Bend, WI; Gloria
(Richard) Van Beek, Marietta, GA; and James, Menasha;
eight grandchildren: Timothy Mayer, Menasha; Tracy
Mayer, Appleton; Eric Mayer, Neenah; Ann (Mayer)
Zuleger, Appleton, and Molly (Mayer) Becker, Neenah;
Steven Schwenke, Milwaukee; Mark and Bret Van Beek,
Marietta, GA; six great-grandchildren and four step
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years;
a grandson, Paul Van Beek; a son-in-law, Roger Schwenke; four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2004 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha at
