Nettie Mitchell

 
Nettie E Greenawalt Mitchell, 73, of Scottdale RD1, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1991, at home. She was born March 20, 1918, in Laurelville, Bullskin Township, a daughter of the late Leslie Cleveland Greenawalt and Hester R  Basinger Greenawalt.

She was a former employee of Seven Springs Resort, Champion, and Crown Corrugated Containers, South Greensburg. She was affiliated with Kingview Mennonite Church. She was a former member of Scottdale Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Thomas Mitchell in 1971; a son, Charles Thomas Mitchell in 1937; five brothers, George, Crosby, Lester, Glenn, and Earl Greenawalt; and two sisters, Elsie Wingrove and Edith Toothman.

She is survived by three sons, Merle Leslie of Kecksburg, Paul Gene of Bridgeport, and Earl Ray Mitchell at home; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Linda Kay) Devorak of Scottdale; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Rogozinski of Clarksville and Mrs. David (Helen) Wingrove of Connellsville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

MITCHELL - Friends of Nettie E Greenawalt Mitchell, 73, of Scottdale RD1, who died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1991, will be received at the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 West Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Linford Martin officiating. Interment will be in Normalville Cemetery.
