Joseph N. Morrell Sr

Joseph N. Morrell Sr., 72, of Dunbar, Pa., died Sunday, February 24, 2002, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa.

He was born April 5, 1929, in Bitner, Fayette County, Pa., son of the now late Samuel Morrell and Adele Muccioli Morrell.

He was a retired Welder from Hillman Barge in Brownsville, Pa., Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Navy, and was Catholic by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Fuller Morrell; children: Joseph N. Morrell Jr., Tammy Hall and husband, Joseph, and Regina Wingrove and husband, David, all of Dunbar, Pa., and Kimberly Smith and husband, Jason, of Connellsville, Pa.; sisters: Rose Crutchman of Akron, Ohio, and Ellen Senock of Monaca, Pa.; a brother, Tony Morrell of Philadelphia, Pa.; six grandchildren, one niece, and three nephews.

Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, February 27, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt R.D.1, where Military Honors will be accorded.
