John Landy

 

John E. Landy, 74, of Mt. Pleasant RD2, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996, in the Frick Hospital and Community Health Center, Mt. Pleasant. He was born June 26, 1922, in Bullskin Township, a son of the late Frank and Alma Landy.
He was a construction worker having retired from the Latrobe Construction Company. He was a member of Union Local #66 and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Wingrove Landy; one son, Dennis Landy of Scottdale; one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Sherry) Field of New Bern, N.C.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Barnes of Birmingham, Ala.; three brothers, Ray, Robert and William Landy, all of Mt. Pleasant RD2; and two sisters, Betty Lewis and Mrs. Ray (Charlotte) Kwak, both of Mt. Pleasant RD2. 

Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. David Morrison officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township.
