John Barnes

 

John F. Barnes, 62, of Hunker RD1, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in New Kensington, a son of the late Frank Barnes and Hazel Trout Barnes Keith. He was a self employed contractor. He was the former owner-operator of Barnes Photography. A member of the Armbrust Wesleyan Church, he was a Sunday School teacher there. He was a member, former president and currently the vice-president of the Youngwood Sportsmen's Club. He was formerly a member of the Greensburg Rotary Club and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Wingrove Barnes; two sons, Jay M. Copenhaver and his wife, June of Scottdale and John Barnes and his wife, Angela of Jeannette; two daughters, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Lynch of Export and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Marsh of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Nelson Barnes of Greensburg and Cornelius Barnes of Hunker; and a sister, Sarah Dowdrick of Claridge. 

Friends will be received at the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services Monday at 11 a.m. in the Armbrust Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Glenn Rader officiating. Interment in Central Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Armbrust Wesleyan Christian Academy.
