Homer I. Hinderliter

Obituary; Oct 1957. FALLS CREEK -- Homer I Hinderliter, life-long resident of this community and Baltimore and Ohio Railroad car shops employee, died at 6:15 a.m. today in the Maple Avenue Hospital DuBois, after a long illness. He was 69. 
The Rev. A. E. Rehnstrom will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday in the N.R. Moor Funeral Home, DuBois. Burial will be in Beechwoods Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and until service time Saturday. 

A native of Falls Creek, Mr. Hinderliter was born March 4, 1898, the son of Curtin and Myrtle Mae Hinderliter. He was first married to Rose Satterlee who is deceased. He later married Esther McDonald in 1943, and she survives. 
He was a member of the Friendship Hose Co. here and the Central District Volunteer Firemen's Assn. He was also a member of the Moose in DuBois and the Eagle of Falls Creek. 

Besides his wife, Mr. Hinderliter is survived by his father Curtin Hinderliter, Falls Creek, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Smith, Larnee, Kans.; two sons, James L., Falls Creek; and Donald U.S. Navy, stationed in Philadelphia, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Wingrove and Mrs. Flo Hilliard, Falls Creek, a brother, Alber, Washingtonville, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
