Helen M. Wingrove, 78, of Connellsville, Bullskin Township, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born Jan. 27, 1926, in Bullskin Township, a daughter of the late Leslie and Hester Rebecca Basinger Greenawalt. Mrs. Wingrove was employed for 27 years by Crown Corrugated Containers, later Menasha Corp. She was a member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary and Pleasant Valley Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, George, Crosby, Lester, Glenn and Earl Greenawalt; and four sisters, Edith Lowery, Olive Roginsky, Elsie Wingrove and Nettie Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, David K. Wingrove; three children, Bonnie Miller and her husband, Glenn, Robert Wingrove and his wife, Kathy Marcy Wingrove, and Lonnie Wingrove and his wife, Rosella, all of Connellsville; five grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Wingrove, Heidi Lynn Colland and her husband, Ian, Lonnie Wingrove, Tiffany Wingrove and David Miller; and a great-grandchild, Terrance Robert Colland. Mrs. Wingrove was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with her nephew, the Rev. Joseph Wingrove Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery.
