Gertrude Leonard Martin

Gertrude Martin, 77, of Dawson, died Friday night, Nov. 15, 1996, at her home. She was born in Connellsville, July 22, 1919, a daughter of the late Clyde and Ann Harshman Leonard. She was a member of the Philip G. Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church of Dawson, the Eastern Star of Dawson, was president of the Sarah B. Cochran Class and United Methodist Women, and was a former Sunday school teacher. Surviving are a son, Donald and wife, Beverly Martin of Markleysburg, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. James (Nancy) Rearick of Dawson, Mrs. John (Judy) Anderson of Dawson RD1 and Mrs. Donald (Tina) Hartman of Dawson; eight grand children; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Olive) Wingrove of Scottdale and Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Routzen of New Mexico; and four brothers, Harry and Glenn Leonard, both of Florida, Donald and Eugene Leonard, both of Arizona. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; a daughter, Gladys Jean Martin; two sisters, Hazel George and Eva Robbins; and two brothers, George Leonard and Dale Leonard.

 Friends will be received in the
RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Dawson, today from noon to 9 p.m. and Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of the services there with the Rev. Roger Applebee officiating. Interment in Greenridge Memorial Park. Eastern Star will conduct services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m.
