Services for Mrs. Mary I. Cross, 85, formerly of Stockport, will be held at the
Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, with Rev. Donald Shaw officiating.
Burial will be in Stockport Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross died Tuesday night at Valley Hills Rest Home in McConnelsville where she had
been a patient since 1960.
She had been in ill health 10 years. Mrs. Cross [nee Freshwater] was born Jan 17, 1879 at Donaldson,
WV, and had resided in Stockport since 1911.
Mrs. Cross was a member of the Stockport Church of Christ and its Dorcas Society and Webb Chapter 337 Ohio Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Kennard O. Cross of 1935 Dresden road, Zanesville, and two sisters, Mrs.
Henry Lane of Robinson Ill., and Mrs. William Wingrove of Waverly, West Va. Her husband
Henry (Harry) died October 1961 and a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Henry died in 1962.

Kennard O. Cross (1903-1995)
Zanesville _ Kennard O Cross, 91, of Zanesville, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 1995 at Bethesda Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Cross was born Nov. 3, 1903 in Marietta, Ohio. He was a resident of this area most of his life and was a graduate of Malta High School and Meredith Business College. He was a retired salesman for for Pioneer Tractor Co. and Southeast Ohio Equipment Co. He was a member of
Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was also a member of Webb Lodge No. 252 in Stockport, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge and Aladdin Shrine Temple of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Reed whom he married June 19, 1926. Mr. Cross was preceded in death by his parents
Mary I. and Harry Cross and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Henry.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
