Frank BOONE 


 


Frank "Buddy" Boone, 73, of Uniontown Pa., passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA

He was born November 13, 1928, in Star Junction, Pa., the son of the late John and Ethel (McManus) Boone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roselma (Mallory) Boone in 1997, a brother, Charles Boone, a sister, Thelma Machesky, two sons, Edward and Michael Boone, and a granddaughter, Roseann Boone.

Frank was a Veteran of the Korean War who served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a Grinder for United States Steel Corporation and as a Bartender at The Belmont Inn in Uniontown. He was a member of the American Legion Post 51 and V.F.W. Post 47 and Uniontown Moose Lodge all in Uniontown. He enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his children: Dennis Boone and wife, Viola, of New Concord, Ohio, Betsy Adams and husband Rusty, of Craigsville, West Virginia, Kathy Brown and husband, Gene, of Wickhaven, Pa., Daniel Boone and wife, Barbara, of Hopwood, Pa., Sally Youger and husband, Wayne, of Vanderbilt, Pa.; and Barbara McManus and husband, Roger, of Uniontown, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five sisters: Dorothy Boone of Phillips, Pa.,
Jenny Wingrove of Perryopolis, Pa., Gladys Ganter of Star Junction, Pa., Patty Pritts of Connellsville, Pa., and Geraldine Burkholder of Morgantown, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, when Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Gary D. Herring officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Military Honors will be accorded by General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
