Arthur   Hoopes

Arthur G. Hoopes, 56, of Export RD2, died Saturday, April 11, 1992, in Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of Mary Florence Wingrove Hoopes of Export RD2 and the late Leo Z. Hoopes.

He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Slickville American Legion.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Hoopes.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Maria Hoopes; two sons, Arthur Hoopes and Scott Hoopes; two stepsons, Timothy Martz of Kittanning and Scott Martz at home; two stepdaughters, Kristine Martz of Kittanning and Melissa Martz at home; two brothers, Bernard Hoopes of Latrobe and William Hoopes of Denton, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Irma Papalazaros of Export RD2, Marie Joe of Latrobe, Mrs. Clarence (Eva) Lawson of Latrobe, Mrs. Alfred (Martha) Caprino of White Valley, and Mrs. Harry (Nancy) Weimer of Ligonier; and four grandchildren.

HOOPES - Friends of Arthur G. Hoopes, 56, of Export RD2, who died Saturday, April 11, 1992, will be received at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, Export, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with Dr. Michael S. Strah officiating. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
