Arthur Burgess

 

Arthur Burgess, 80, of Macedonia, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997. Born Jan. 2, 1917, in Perryopolis, son of the late Arthur and Marie Wingrove Burgess. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Ford Motor Company of Walton Hills. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and made three landings, Sicily, Naples Foggia, and Rome Arna. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Johnston Burgess; two sons, Arthur Burgess Jr. and Ronald (Yong) Burgess, both of Macedonia; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHNSON-ROMITO, A GOLDEN RULE FUNERAL HOME, Northfield Center, Ohio (216)468-1443, where services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
