ALBERT A WINGROVE

 Albert A. Wingrove, 87, of Scottdale Star Route (Crossroads), died Friday, Nov. 25, 1994, at Frick Hospital and Community Health Center, Mt. Pleasant. He was born April 2, 1907, in Crossroads, Bullskin Township, a son of the late Albert A. and Mary Elizabeth Nicholson Wingrove. He spent 44 years in education. He was a 1926 graduate of Connellsville High School and attended California State Normal School. He received his bachelor of science degree in education from California State College and received his master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh. He taught in Bullskin Township and in Upper Tyrone Township for 19 years, and was a supervising principal for 25 years, serving many years at Bullskin Township School, retiring in 1972 from the Connellsville Area Joint School District. He was a member of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association and was a member of the Pennsylvania Education Association and the National Education Association. He attended the Pennsville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Olive Leonard Wingrove; one son, Alan B. Wingrove of New Castle, Del.; three grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Wingrove of Connellsville; and one sister, Mary Benson of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Galley, in 1966; five sisters, Nettie Livingston Morrison, Evelyn Ludwig, Leona Wingrove, Ora Shultz and Wilda Stillwagon; and three brothers, John D., Charles E. and Braden Wingrove. 

Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the hour of service in the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, PA

Bullskin Township

Olive "Babe" Wingrove, 98, a lifelong resident of Bullskin Township, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June, 10, 2010. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, the hour of a funeral service, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, with the Rev. Robert Bixel officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Pennsville Baptist Church, 3298 Richey Road, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666, in memory of Olive "Babe" Wingrove.
