Mrs. Helen M. Weigel

   
    Mrs. Helen M. Weigel, 89, of 5661 Route 287 Highway, Jersey Shore, died Friday morning, Oct. 4, 2002 in the Manor Care Health Center, Jersey Shore. Born Jan. 24, 1913 in Cascade, Pa., she was the daughter of Edward and Catherine Hipple.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan W. Weigel Nov. 26, 1976, and they were united in marriage June 11, 1930. For many years, she was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore.
    Surviving are two sons, Robert C. Weigel of Haneyville and Kenneth C. Weigel of Calif.; three daughters, Naomi Wingrove of South Williamsport, Iva Berger of Montoursville, and Joyce Willits of Haneyville; 28 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Sarah Chapman of Williamsport and Hazel Whitlaufer of Dushore. In addition to her husband. She was preceded in death by by two daughters, Laurar Minier and June Riggle; and a grandson Robert Weigel.
    Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Christian Cemetery in Warrensville, Pa. Rev. John Welshans will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Anthony Center, 125 E.
