OF CITY IS DEAD

Mrs Mary Wingrove aged 86 years a pioneer resident
of this city, died at her home, 1003 Third Street, Wednesday evening following a lingering illness. Mrs Wingrove was born in England
and went to Canada, where she lived for some time.
In 1881 she came to Alpena, where she has since resided.
Mrs Wingrove was a woman who made a host of friends during her
long residence in the city. She was a devout Christian. Her death, while not unexpected is the cause of much regret.
She is survived by one son and six daughters, Wesley
Wingrove,
who is in Canada and Miss Sarah E Wingrove, Mrs
John Mathews, Mrs Alfred Manning and Mrs Donald R Polson all of Alpena and
Miss Ada Wingrove and Mrs Ella Ellsworth of Ogden, Utah; two brothers, Thomas Hunt and John Hunt of Hillman and one sister,
Mrs John Rensberry of Alpena.
The funeral will be held from the family home Friday
afternoon
at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. E. Hazel officiating.
