Mrs Daniel Polson
Found Dead of
Heart Attack

            - - - - - - -
Mrs Lily Alice Polson, aged 75 years, widow of Daniel Polson was found dead Saturday noon at her home 213 West Baldwin Street. Death was due to heart disease and is believed to have been practically instantaneous Friday evening.
Mrs Polson was apparently in fair health and had been with her sister Mrs Alfred Manning, Campbell street for supper Friday evening. She had been complaining the past few days of not feeling well but there was no indication that her heart was in serious condition.
She left the Manning home early in the evening and returned to her own home. The next day at 11:45 o'clock her body was discovered lying in the hallway by Arthur Lusk who was selling meats from house to house. He walked to the front door of the Polson home, rapped and then observed through the small square of glass of the storm door that the house door was open and then as he looked closer he saw Mrs. Polson lying in the hallway. He immediately went to the Michigan State Police post and Trooper Paul Frederick responded returning to the Polson home with Mr Lusk. Before leaving the post Trooper Frederick notified the Police department. Patrolman Frank Bates responding. Dr. Otto Bertram was summoned and after examination pronounced her death due to heart disease.

Mrs Polson was born September 12, 1860 in Walsingham Ontario Canada but had been a resident of Alpena for many years. Husband Daniel Polson died  10 years ago.
Surviving Mrs Polson are five sisters Mrs Alfred Manning and Susie Mathews of Alpena, and Misses Sarah and Ada Wingrove and Mrs Ella Ellsworth of Odgen Utah.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at Williams funeral parlors at 2:00 o'clock with Lyle Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in  Evergreen Cemetery [Alpena]
