John Jacob Kinsley
was born in Germany
He arrived in Canada with his parents and sisters.
They settled in Roseville Ontario.
In later years he came to St. Williams Ontario where he married Miss
Margaret Matilda Bear on the 22nd of November 1869 at Forestville
Ontario, by Rev. Mr. Mudge. Mary Slaught [sister in law] and William
Bear [brother of Margaret] served as witnesses.
After an interval moved to Forestville Ontario and later to a farm in
Rowan Mills.
In the spring of 1910 they moved to St. Williams, where Mrs. Kinsley
died November 10 of that year.
To this union were born two daughters, Mary
Jane Kinsley, Mrs. Lundy R Butcher and Ida
M Kinsley, Mrs. Charles Heubach of Ayr Ontario.

Margaret M & John Jacob Kinsley
Later Mr. Kinsley married Mrs. Mary Swick who survived him for a
number of years. After a lengthy illness, John Jacob died at 91 years
of age - June 27, 1935. The funeral services were conducted on
Saturday from his late residence. Rev A. S. Parnell officiated
assisted by Rev. H. S. Fiddes.

Interment was in the family plot at Franklin Cemetery,
Pall Bearers were Jim Lerheume, Mr. E. Hammond, Mr. Jewell of St
Williams, Rudolph Poole, Bruce and Cecil Overbaugh of Rowan Mills.
