CHARLES JAMES WINGROVE
Charles James Wingrove Sr and several family members were part of the original group of Northamptonshire Wingroves, incorrectly labeled as 'brothers', that arrived in Canada's province of Ontario in the 1830's. Many settled in the present areas of Wentworth and Halton counties
Charles who lived in Mountsberg for a time, is credited with starting the Methodist Church built there in 1854. Buried in the Old Methodist Church Cemetery Mountsberg Oct 30, 1853 with wife Sarah who had died the previous year. The church building has been moved to Westfield Pioneer Village, but the cemetery remains and is maintained in good condition
