Wingrove, aged 47, former Alpena
resident, died
suddenly at 10 o'clock Sunday morning in Detroit following an attack of appendicitis, according to word received here
Mr. Wingrove was born in Ontario and came to Alpena
at the age of 18. He married Lottie Kahlenbach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Kahlenbach, 703 Ninth avenue June 6, 1906, nearly 23 years ago.
Eight years ago, Mr and Mrs. Wingrove moved to
Detroit. During his residence in Alpena, Mr. Wingrove had operated a restaurant here
and owned and operated the Pasadena apartments with a large dining hall in connection
in Detroit.
Besides his wife, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Emma Wingrove
of Tillsonburg Ontario and two children, Mrs I Harrison (Ila
Wingrove) and Wesley Wingrove of Detroit, two brother,
Bruce Wingrove
and Eugene Wingrove
of Tillsonburg, Ontario and one sister.
The body is expected to arrive Wednesday morning and will
be taken to the home of his wife's parents Mr. and Mrs. Kahlenbach, Ninth avenue.
Funeral services will take place at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. E. C. Dewey officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery
